1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Trekky, you agree to these Terms of Use.
If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Trekky is

Trekky is a web application designed to help you organize and track your job search activities using a Kanban-style board. Core features are free to use. AI-powered features (company research, resume generation, interview prep, AI assistant, the autonomous sourcing agent, and the compensation Ledger) require a Pro subscription at $15 USD per month (or $89 USD per year, save 51%), billed in USD via Stripe.

It is not a recruiting service, employer, or job placement agency, and it does not guarantee any job offers or outcomes.

3. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account
• You should not share your account credentials with others
• If you believe your account has been compromised, please notify us and change your password immediately

4. What you can't do

When using Trekky, you agree not to:

• Break the law or violate anyone's rights
• Try to hack, overload, or disrupt the service or our systems
• Scrape, copy, or resell the service or its content in an automated or abusive way
• Use the app to store or share illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Interfere with other users' ability to use and enjoy the service

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly violate these rules.

5. Your content

You own the content you add to Trekky-your notes, application details, company information, and links are all yours.

By using the app, you give us permission to store, process, and display your content as needed to operate the service. This just means we can show you your own data and keep it safe for you.

You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any content you upload and that it doesn't violate any laws or third-party rights.

6. Service availability

Trekky may change, break, or be unavailable from time to time. We'll do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we make no promises.

We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of the service at any time without advance notice. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available 24/7.

7. AI features, the agent & no professional advice

Trekky helps you organize your job search, but it is not legal, financial, or career advice.

You are responsible for your own decisions about job applications, offers, and negotiations. Please consult qualified professionals for specific guidance.

AI-generated content. Tailored resumes, cover letters, classifications, and other AI output are drafts produced by an automated model and may contain mistakes or inaccuracies. You must review every document for accuracy and truthfulness before using it, and you are solely responsible for any content you submit to an employer. Do not use Trekky to misrepresent your experience or qualifications.

The sourcing agent. When enabled, the agent surfaces publicly available job listings for your convenience. We do not guarantee that listings are accurate, current, still open, or free of errors - always verify a role on its original source before applying. You control whether the agent is active, and you can turn it off at any time.

Compensation estimates. Salary benchmarks and underpayment insights in the Ledger are rough, informational estimates - not financial advice or a guarantee of your market value.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Trekky is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In other words: we hope it works great for you, but we can't legally promise perfection.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of Trekky.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim (e.g. up to $180 USD for a full year of Pro on monthly billing, or $89 USD on annual billing).

10. Payments & Subscriptions

Pro features require a paid subscription at $15 USD per month (or $89 USD per year), billed in USD through Stripe. Pricing is the same globally regardless of your selected market.

Billing:

• Your subscription renews automatically each month.
• You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Cancellation:

• You may cancel at any time from your account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be refunded for the remaining period.

Failed payments:

• If a payment fails, your Pro access will be suspended until payment is resolved. Stripe will retry failed charges automatically.

Refunds:

• We do not offer refunds unless required by applicable law (e.g. the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, New Zealand).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

By continuing to use the service after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.

12. Proprietary rights

Trekky is a closed-source proprietary project. The source code is not publicly available for viewing, copying, or redistribution.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service or its source code.
