About Trekky
Built by one person
who hated spreadsheets.
Trekky is a small, opinionated job tracker for individual job seekers. No team workflows. No enterprise SSO. Just a clean way to manage your own search.
Why I built this
I'm Sam - a full-stack developer based in New Zealand. As an engineer, I like building clean systems. But the tech job market is pure chaos. Trekky started the fifth time I lost a recruiter's reply somewhere between a Notion page, a Google Sheet, and a folder of bookmarked tabs - and I'm still using it for my own ongoing search.
Most job tracking tools are either bloated team CRMs or one-page link savers. Neither fit a developer applying to dozens of roles, juggling different stages, and trying to remember which version of the resume went where.
So I built the thing I wanted: a Kanban that's actually fast, an extractor that pulls the boring fields automatically, a clean UI built for speed rather than enterprise feature bloat, and a small set of purpose-built AI tools to automate the actual bottlenecks: summarizing company tech stacks, preparing for behavioral interviews, and drafting context-aware follow-ups.
What I won't do with your data
Job search data is sensitive - your resume, the companies you've approached, the salaries you're negotiating. Here's where I stand on that:
Your resume stays yours
Trekky does not sell your resume or use private job-search data to train generalized AI models.
No employer-side product
Trekky has no recruiter dashboard or employer tier. Your pipeline is not sold or shared with employers or recruiters.
